real devices, not simulators

Test on real iPhones and Android phones, not simulators.

Simulators miss what real phones do. Kifas runs your tests on real hardware with the exact OS versions your users have, and you watch every run live.

Why real devices

The bugs simulators never show you

Real hardware

Real CPUs, memory and screens. Slow screens and janky animations show up the way your users see them.

The exact OS version

Pick the iOS or Android version you care about. Samsung's Android builds behave like they do in your users' hands.

Real gestures

Taps, long presses and swipes on a real touchscreen, plus hardware keys like back and home.

Emulator first, device when it counts

Run quick checks on the Android emulator, then send the same test to a real phone before you ship.

How it works

From repo to real device in three steps

  1. 01

    Connect your repo

Kifas reads your app and suggests the flows worth testing.

  2. 02

    Describe the test

Write the steps in plain language, or bring the Appium suite you already have.

  3. 03

Run it on a real device

Run on a real Android phone from Kifas and watch it live. For iPhones, point your Appium suite at the Kifas hub.

FAQ

Questions teams ask before switching

Are these real phones or emulators?

Both, clearly labelled. The Device Farm has 76 real iPhone, iPad and Android models. The Android emulator is there for quick, cheap runs.

Which devices can I use?

Recent iPhones, iPads, Google Pixels and Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, each with the OS versions you can pick. The full list is at kifas.io/devices.

How is real device time billed?

In credits, per minute the device is in use: 22 credits a minute, and a credit is about a penny. There are no seats, so the whole team can use it.

Can I get dedicated devices?

Yes. On the Custom plan, phones can be reserved for your team only. Tell us the models and how many on the quote form.
